Pearl Necklace, part 2

After completing part 1, I had to make the chain. First I calculated how long my necklace was to be. I did this by measuring total amount, subtract the amount of space my 6 pearls and 12 rings would take. Then I divided this by 7, the number of chain parts. Then I measured the chain and found out how many I needed, 11.
This is the first one I did

So first you have to count the number of chains, in my case 11

Open number 12

Remove 11 chains

Attach a ready pearl with a ring

Attach the opened chain number 12 to the other end of the pearl, and close

It should look like this

And as you add more, it should look like this

At the start and end you add the type of ending you want

And then I added the charm in the middle in the front

But when I tried it on, it looked... odd
So I decided to add more chain to the sides of the charm

Much better. I LOVE the way it turned out, and I cannot wait to make another soon!
Maybe a matching bracelet, who knows...

Pearl Necklace, part 1.

Remember my post Pearl Necklace? Here is part one to making the necklace. And this was the most time consuming part as well. I have decided to give a picture only tutorial. Any questions, comment below.

I wanted to have a charm as well on the necklace. I did similar as above, but adding multiple smaller pearls with a loop on the end. Then I fastened the leaf with a ring.

Pearl Necklace

I am so super duper excited! Earlier this week I was at a craft store and bought supplies to make a necklace and maybe a bracelet too! The only problem is I am not quite sure how to make it yet. I have a vision in mind and cannot wait untill I can try to make it (with help from my sister who knows a bit more about jewelry making than me.

My supplies:

So I did google different pearl necklaces and there are so many pretty ones out there. There are some lovely ones posted at Barrister BrideFave CraftsMade In Pretoria and A Realistic Wedding. I am probably going to make more pearl necklaces in the future if I can manage to make something nice with this!
