10 Red Kitchens

The kitchen in my apartment is quite boring, except for the fact that we painted a red back-splash. So today's inspiration will be just that, red kitchens. What is your opinion on red kitchens?

10 Coral Pieces

I have a thing for the colour coral. For some reason that's all I can think about. I do wish I could add some coral to my apartment, but it just would not fit.

Here are some coral pieces I found and LOVE!

10 Organized Home Office

Today's inspirational post is on home offices. Home offices must not - and should not - be uninspiring. In my opinion a home office should be where you feel inspired and motivated to do your work. You might get inspired by pastel colours, bright colours or no colour, decorate what inspires you!

Here I have found 10 different home offices. I would love to hear which you like best/least, and also leave a comment with a link to your home office, I would love to check it out!!

Bedroom Rearranging

I had a vision on how I thought my bedroom could look great! So I acted. I thought it would be wonderful to move the big chair under the window to get in a lot of natural light when reading and writing. I also changed the small stool to an end table.

I was not satisfied. So I moved it back.

It still was not right, so I changed back to the stool.

So much better. This was my original vision. I was glad I did try to change things around just to see what it would look like (I am weird that way).

Luckily I did not need any help moving my furniture. The only one home was my dog, who was laying on my bed chewing her rat.

How To Create Paint Swatches

I saw this awesome post, Customizable Paint Deck @ Natty By Design. And thought what a great idea!

I want to add some pink to my bedroom, but needed something that looked good with my blue furniture. So I actually ended up taking the door off the hinges and bringing it to the paint store.

Making these will make life so much more easier for me, especially when I am going find some fabric for my room.

This project was actually FREE for me! Which is awesome! The paint stirrer sticks I got for free at the paint store. The ring I got from a broken key chain. It was a really simple project and took me way to long to start.

So I started by taping off my paint stirrer sticks.

Then I painted using the four paint colours in my bedroom.

I waited for it to dry before I removed the tape.

Here you can see the three colours I currently have in my bedroom.

I first taped the sticks together, then I drilled holes through the sticks.

I sanded down the edges a bit, would have to get a splinter.

My broken key-ring :(

Lastly I inserted the ring.

Voila! Much easier to bring along than a cupboard door!

Office / Guest Room Project Planner

So as I mentioned yesterday I have created a Project Planner. Basically its just to get organized, write down thoughts on a project and just other general stuff project related. I want to be able to create a binder where I have all my organizing projects in one place. This is so I can review my organizing better as well as finding out what worked and what did not work. I also have to be able to keep inspiration for a room there as well.

Sorry I don't know how to get the PDF on the blog post, so here are some pictures and a link to download a copy is below. Here is what I came up with:

You can download a blank copy here. If you do use this in a blog post or such, please link back to this post. Just keep in mind, this is a work in process. As this is my first project where I am using a planner I still do not know what I need in this planner, but at the moment I am very satisfied.

UPDATE: PDF. To download click on the Scribd button in the lower left corner.
